Prof. Ugo Covani is a full professor of implant and prosthetic dentistry at the University of Pisa, Italy, and president of the Fondazione Istituto Stomatologico Toscano, where he also directs postgraduate dental programs run with UniCamillus International Medical University of Rome.

His clinical and research focus is oral surgery, implantology and prosthetic rehabilitation.

He has served as past president of the Societa Italiana di Chirurgia Orale and of the European Board of Oral Surgery, and has authored roughly 250 publications, about half in peer-reviewed journals, alongside several books on implant dentistry.
